Bellavia Photography show in July and August for club members
From Jody Tanner:
We have the months of July and August to show at LaBellavia.
I will spearhead this show unless someone objects. We will need to hang the show on the Wednesday or Thursday before First Friday in July. Unfortunately, this coincides with the 4th of July weekend, which is on Saturday.
We need at least 10 people to participate, with 5-8 photos each. In past shows, Flagstaff area photos have sold well in the $50-$80 range. A mix of canvas, framed and metal prints have sold in the past. It seems that photos that tourists would like, plus those that appeal to the locals are the big sellers. Route 66 theme sells well and National Park photos also sell. Of course, there are also non-themed photos that sell.
I will contact the coordinator for LaBellavia to see if we can hang on Thursday, July 2. Hanging takes place from 2 to 4 o'clock. We will need to coordinate labels (I'm in favor of everyone printing their own on a business card size heavy card stock. I will compile an inventory so that we know what sells. The club is issued a check once the show closes. LaBellavia keeps 25% of the sale price.
Please consider being part of the show. We would take down the show the last week of August, usually at 1:30 on the day that is designated.
If you want to be part of the show, please email me so that I can get some idea of how many people will be participating. If you have questions, email me at
The club dues are due in July. If you would like to pay in June, you may do so. Ed Dunn will collect your dues for Marilyn this month.
