The Flagstaff Photography Club was formed in September, 1991, to promote interest in photography and assist members in developing photographic skills. Our membership includes all levels of expertise—from beginner to professional, who use digital, film and slide formats. The Club sponsors various events that serve the interests of its members including critiques, speakers, outings, Photo of the Month competitions, an annual theme-based competition and the Photo of the Year competition. Our monthly newsletter, the High Altitude Focus, is published electronically for members and professionals interested in club activities.
The Photo of the Month competition winners are on display at the Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library downtown at 300 W. Aspen Ave. and at the East Flagstaff Library at 3000 N. 4th Street.
Meetings are held on the 3rd and 5th Thursday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Adult Center at 245 N. Thorpe Rd. Visitors are welcome and are encouraged to attend to learn more about the club, the members and the activities.
